human-in-the-loop (adjective)

Describing a workflow in which a person reviews, approves, corrects, or redirects AI outputs before the work is final. Human-in-the-loop design is often used where quality, safety, or accountability matters.

Example: "The system drafts the recommendation automatically, but a human-in-the-loop signs off before anything reaches the client."
